Dr. Cevey of Cevey Pediatrics

Dr. Renee Cevey received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996, and her MD in 2000 from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

In 2003, she completed her pediatric residency training in San Antonio, Texas at Wilford Hall Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center.  After serving as one of several staff pediatricians in pediatric clinics first on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona and then subsequently at Wilford Hall Medical Center Pediatric Clinic, she now has gone into private practice.  She and her husband are now in the stage of being parents of teenagers!

Dr. Cevey's passion is equipping her patients' parents with the knowledge and understanding to optimize the health and well-being of their children.  She loves teaching parents and directly teaching patients as they grow older and take a greater role in their own health care.  There are many conditions and illnesses whose management have been greatly improved by modern medications and treatments, but there are also a great many conditions and illnesses best managed by just patience and parents' "tender loving care."  Dr. Cevey views her job as the opportunity to share her experience as a mom who happens to be a pediatrician to guide parents towards recognizing which situations fall into which category.
